Late July at the iconic Bells, Aspen, CO
It’s rare to capture this iconic Colorado mirror image of the Bells. All the elements need to line up: no wind during late morning, fresh snow, both sides of the valley touched by sunlight, and fall colors near peak. This day all the elements aligned! Aspen, CO

This photo was taken in February 2019. The famous 'Firefall' of Yosemite National Park is a natural phenomenon that occurs when Horsetail Fall glows orange and red due to the angle of the setting sun illuminating the waterfall, and only occurs in February if weather conditions are just right and Horsetail Fall is flowing. For some it looks like fire, while others say lava. Regardless of how it looks to you, it's visually stunning.

The day my brother in-law and I hiked to this ruin near Natural Bridges in Utah we were the only people here. We spent several hours soaking up the peacefulness and solitude. Such a beautiful and spiritual place.

In the right lighting, the erosion and coloration of the rock appears to represent flames of a fire.
